Hi beautiful people!
The weather is getting cold which means it’s time to bust out the slow cooker.
As someone who is a big a fan of soup and lean proteins, I decided this was just the recipe to kick off crock pot season.
The other thing that makes it so special is all the lemon, butter, and half and half I added to it.
A lot of people don’t know that orzo is actually a pasta, not a rice.
That being said, let’s get in to it.
Here are your ingredients (adjust quantity depending on the size of your family and your crock pot): 3-6 chicken breasts (chopped in small pieces), 1/2 cup of half and half, the juice of two whole lemons, 1/4 stick of butter (sliced into pieces and placed throughout the pot), two cups of water, 1 box of chicken broth, 1 tsp of oregano, 1 tsp of rosemary, 2 minced cloves of garlic, 1/4 cups of parmesan, 1/2 cups of orzo, and lemon slices to decorate the pot.
Cook on high for 3.5 hours and enjoy for the rest of the week!
