Hey Honey’s!
I’m back after a little break from the website.
Last week I went on a super cool vacation to New Orleans.
Today, I’m going to share a fun restaurant review with you all because you know I ate a bunch of delicious things while I was out there.
I ate at a lot of different restaurants, but the most memorable was Antoine’s Restaurant.
It’s located in a beautiful spot in the heart of the French Quarter at approximately 713 St Louis Street.
We started our meal with the char grilled oysters which are a staple of New Orleans cuisine.
They are basically just grilled oysters with parmesan cheese, garlic, and butter.
If you have been keeping up with this website for long enough, you know that I’m the Queen of Oysters.
But I had never tried the cooked ones!
I’ll start by saying absolutely delicious.
We tried them at a couple of different restaurants, and the ones at Antoine’s were the best by far.
Our waiter was super friendly and attentive, and when he brought the oysters out he took them off of a dish and put them onto our little plates for us instead of just setting a plate down which I thought was really nice.
For my entrée I ordered the Shrimp Creole which was soooo yummy!
It came with shrimp, onion rice, creole sauce, and crispy fried onions which was the cherry on top because they were basically just fancy onion rings.
It was absolutely delicious.
My man got the Filet with Marchand de Vin which was also really good.
It came with mashed potatoes and asparagus.
Our waiter said that they don’t use steak knives unless you request it because the meat is so soft you can cut it with a butter knife, which I can confirm is true.
From the few bites I tried, it was super flavorful and the meat seemed high quality.
My over all review for this restaurant is a 10/10. Everything was really good, including the service. Aside from the food, the drinks and the dessert were wonderful as well. The atmosphere was very nice as well. The only thing I will say is that the dining room was a little bit dark.
That does it for this weeks review!
Thanks for reading and stay tuned for my weekly posts!
Love you all.
