Il Posto

As most of you have probably realized, trying new restaurants is one of my favorite things to do on the weekend. I really love modern Italian food. When I saw Il Posto while looking through OpenTable, I was intrigued.

I immediately put in an order for burrata with added prosciutto, which was clearly the right choice. The crackers that came with it were so so good! They almost reminded me of pita chips but thinner and fancier.

One of the first things about my experience at Il Posto that made it so positive was our table where we were sat. It had an amazing view of downtown Denver!

The waiter was polite and got us our drinks fairly quickly after being seated, and the selection of cocktails they offer was both creative and incredible.

I ordered the Risotto Anatra, which consisted of a pan rendered duck breast with a red wine and black garlic risotto, ultimately topped with whipped goat cheese and basil.

It was spectacular.

My favorite part had to have been the combination of the black garlic and risotto harmonizing with the creamy goat cheese.

The duck was spectacular as well, and I would recommend this dish with a score of 9/10.

My friend got the Manzo, which is a New York Strip paired with purple mashed potatoes, cauliflower, wilted greens, and fennel butter. I did get to try a bite of it, and it was incredibly delicious.
