If you like fancy food and you hear a name like “Gramma Dot’s“, finding out that is where you’re going to eating for dinner, you might see you’re whole life flash before your eyes.
Or, maybe you just get on your high horse and ride away (I know I almost did).
But, when you get there your view of it totally changes.
It looks a lot more like Gramma’s fucking yacht club than anything else.
Welcome back to Hot Dish Honey! I’m your favorite food critic, Lily Ellen, here to provide you with another restaurant review.
Today, I’ll be reviewing Gramma Dot’s.
As you can see by my silly little intro, the name of this restaurant kind of caught me off guard. I didn’t think it would be anything special, but; then we arrived at the restaurant, and it was at a beautiful marina surrounded by tons of yachts right by the water.
I ordered the blackened sea scallops, which came with a potato croquet (if you’re wondering what that is, it’s essentially just a fried mashed potato ball).
The scallops were really yummy. They were nice and tender, not rubbery at all. Which, in my opinion, is what differentiates a good scallop from a bad scallop.
The blackened seasoning on them gave it a lovely flavor kick as well. Overall, I would say the food was very good… But it wasn’t overly memorable so I’d rate it a 7 out of 10.
The atmosphere was beautiful so I’d give that a 10/10.
The service was good but also not overly memorable so I’m gonna rate it a 7/10 as well.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant if your looking for a chill dinner at a nice place!
