Omakase at Forged

Omakase (お任せ) is a Japanese phrase which means “I’ll leave it up to you“. It comes from the Japanese word meaning “to entrust“, makaseru.

This was one of the most wonderful food experiences that I have ever had. All foods pictured below were fucking amazing! My favorite would have to be the West Coast Oyster on the Half Shell, topped with Uni and Caviar. My other favorite was the Toro Collar and Belly, topped with Uni and Fresh Wasabi (which our chef dubbed “toro two ways“). Unfortunately, it was one of the only dishes I missed out on a picture of.

I had also gotten the chance to try a sake called “Beautiful Lily“, which is now my new favorite sake. The crème brûlée for dessert was incredibly delicious as well. The staff were all very friendly and full of talent. The chef who made our food, Duy Pham, was an artist!! I simply cannot recommend this place enough, I will totally be going back here soon — Maybe even for my birthday this year! (:
